1. Introduction

This atlas is my third atlas and specialized for double stars.

I held the idea of "Atlas of Double Stars" in January 2007 and I made a few prototype charts in February 2007. At that moment, I labeled double stars with ADS numbers and the faintest stars are 6.75 magnitude. Then, I received a mail from Pete Wehner in Texas and he suggested to produce a star atlas especially for double stars. I sent my prototype chart to him and he made many good suggestions. Since then, we are working together to produce the double star atlas. The specification of the atlas is the result of cooperation. Pete Wehner produced a double star list. Toshimi Taki produced a deep sky object list and the charts.

Pete Wehner compiled "Atlas of Double Stars Field Guide" in MS-Excel format.
The data of the double stars and the deep sky objects are found in another MS-Excel file.

I will welcome your comments or suggestions for improvement. Please send e-mail to Toshimi Taki.
