4. Observing Sites

I live in Konan City (population 100,000) which is located 20km north from Nagota City. Because the population of Nagoya City is over two milion, sky quality in Konan City is poor. I have to drive away from Nagoya City for dark observing sites.
My favorite site is the parking lot of Hakusan-jinja in Shirakawa-cho, Gifu Prefecture. The site is located 60km north from Nagoya and on the top of a hill 800m high. Population of the nearest town is about 10,000. Southern part of sky is light-poluted a little bit by the light of the town. The other part of sky is very good.
